The 2nd International Joint Conference on Computational for Basic Sciences

Semarang, undip.ac.id - The 2nd International Joint Conference on Computational for Basic Sciences will be held by collaboration between Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Diponegoro University and Islamic Azad university, Iran. The conference theme is “The Role of Computation and Biotechnology on New Drugs Discovery Workshop”.The seminar will be held on 10-11 May 2012. This activity is a follow up of the first successful co-operation was held on 2010.

The development of science and technology have encouraged the scientists to respond by changing the "mind set" and renew their knowledge so it is always adaptable and in line with the development of science. Development of science lead to a paradigm shift, which has traditionally looked at the material as macroscopic objects transformed into molecules and supra molecular. Another paradigm that must be considered is the view of molecules as information carriers and not just dynamics. Molecules as information carriers, meaning the molecules not only as a simple object but can combine into more complex objects. This change brings the consequence of changes in methods of the physics laws become the laws of life. Thus, chemistry is an interdisciplinary science, which requires other sciences such as physics and biology, and mathematics as the foundation.
