UNDIP Signs Collaboration with BNI Syariah Regarding Financial Services for Education

Semarang, 26 February 2020. Diponegoro University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BNI Syariah regarding cooperation in Islamic banking products and services at the Meeting Room of Undip Rector, second floor of Widya Puraya Building Undip Campus, Tembalang, Semarang.

The event was attended by Diponegoro University Rector Prof. Yos Johan Utama, Vice Rector I Prof. Budi Setiyono, Vice Rector II Prof. Heru Susanto, Vice Rector III Dr. Darsono, and Vice Rector IV Prof. Ambariyanto followed with Secretary of MWA, Prof. Bambang Pramudono and several Faculty Leaders in Undip environments.

From BNI Syariah the event was attended by the President Director of BNI Syariah Abdullah Firman Wibowo, Head of BNI Syariah Financing Card Business Division Rima Dwi Permatasari, Deputy Head of BNI Syariah Retail Fund Divison Nurcahyo Dwi Artianto, Deputy Regional Head of BNI Syariah for West Region Asep Mulyadi, and Branch Manager of BNI Syariah Semarang Taufan Anshari.

Abdullah Firman Wibowo said that the synergy between BNI Syariah and Diponegoro University was a manifestation of this year strategic theme carried out by BNI Syariah which is “Embracing New Opportunities”. BNI Syariah is ready to seize new opportunities to increase business growth and become better partners, one of which is opportunities related to cooperation in Islamic banking products and services in supporting education.

Meanwhile, during his remarks, Undip Rector Prof. Yos Johan Utama said, “Thank you for the established cooperation with BNI Syariah”. He further added that Undip had also carried out various syariah activities such as Umrah for employees, welfare improvement for teachers in PAUD Permata Undip, doctor on call for Pratama Undip polyclinics, and the welfare of all Undip lecturers and employees.

The agreed agreements include acceptance of employee and lecturer salaries, organizing student cards and alternative payment of tuition fees (UKT) for students, consumer financing facilities both BNI Fleksi iB Hasanah with a nominal value of up to 500 Million Rupiah and easy home ownership with light installments through BNI Griya IB Hasanah.

In addition, this collaboration is also related to BNI iB Hasanah Card financing, marketing the Hajj and Umrah packages through BNI Baitullah iB Hasanah, and the use of banking products and services to maximize the use of digital banking.

On this occasion BNI Syariah in collaboration with the Hasanah Titik Foundation also presented appreciation to Diponegoro University students who were achievers and had Hafiz Qurandalam with a form of scholarships totaling as much as 100 Million Rupiah.
