‘Undip Reads Short Story’
Diponegoro University (Undip) held an event titled “Undip Reads Short Story” on Tuesday (Feb 27, 2018), 7pm, at Gedung Serba Guna (Multipurposes Building) Faculty of Humanity, Tembalang, Semarang City. The event is a book review of short stories titled “Memori Waktu Kecil (Childhood Memories)” by Prof Dr dr Anies M Kes PKK.
The book review attended by Secretary of Central Java Provincial Government Dr. Ir. Sri Puryono, MP, Chairman of Academic Senate of Undip Prof. Sunarso, Secretary of Academic Senate of Undip, Vice Rector 2 Dr. Darsono, S.E., Akt., MBA and Vice Rector 4 Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc., as well as some civitas academics.
In his speech, Vice Rector of Resources Dr. Darsono, S.E., Akt., MBA said thanked to all members of the committee for organizing the event of Undip Reads Short Story.
Darsono also hoped the book review can be useful for all attendees, both officials, lecturers, educational staff and students.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. dr Anies, M.Kes., PKK said he wrote all of 15 short stories during 1970s-80s, and he got supports by his best friend Dr. Redyanto Noor, recent Dean of Faculty of Humanity.
Prof Anies said the stories tell of life, medics, and love.
He said we can not view so simple a physician and litterateur as black and white. However, a physician could also be a reliable litterateur.
Prof. Anies said litterature can give big contribution in research and academic activities, and in fact they shared each other.***
