Dr. Choirul Anam, S.Si., M.Si., F.Med., a scientist and lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics Diponegoro University (FSM UNDIP), achieved an incredible accomplishment once more as an Outstanding Reviewer Awards 2023. This accomplishment was rewarded by the Institute of Physics (IOP) Publishing as an acknowledgment to an outstanding reviewer who upholds the high scientific standards of IOP Publishing.
On this occasion, IOP Publishing honored Dr. Choirul Anam for reviewing the Journal of Radiological Protection. IOP Publishing rewards the Outstanding Reviewer Award based on the quality, quantity, and timeliness of reviews that adhere to the value and scientific standards of their field.
The IOP Publishing Award was not the first achievement that Dr. Choirul Anam attained. Previously, he achieved the Outstanding Reviewer Awards for Physics in Medicine and Biology in 2019 and the Outstanding Reviewer Awards for Biomedical Physics & Engineering Express in 2020.
This lecturer of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics Undip is one of the young scientists who has made a noteworthy contribution to the development of international medical physics, namely comprehensive research on radiation dosage and image quality from computer tomography (CT) planes. The result was software used by researchers in more than 60 countries worldwide. Additionally, Dr. Choirul Anam is active in publishing 200 research papers, and 100 of them have been Scopus-indexed.
Dr. Choirul Anam’s credibility is trustworthy. His active review of the world’s various reputable journals in his spare time as a scientist and lecturer proves it. International publishers have validated his review. To this day, the journal review by Dr. Choirul Anam has around 87 reviews.
His accomplishments as an expert in medical physics significantly contributed to physics development in Indonesia and the world, one of which is his contribution to IOP Publishing (https://publishingsupport.iopscience.iop.org/questions/journal-of-radiological-protection-outstanding-reviewer-awards-2023/).
