Undip Vocational School in collaboration with the Indonesian Vocational Higher Education Forum (FPTVI) held the 4th Indonesian Vocational Olympics (OLIVIA). The Indonesian Vocational Olympics (OLIVIA) 2019 is an applied science competition that aims to present the skills and abilities of students in the field of vocational education in accordance with their respective knowledge. In addition, the Olympics were also held to exchange information between vocational students in Indonesia, Thursday-Friday (7-8 / 11) at the Undip campus.

Indonesian Vocational Olympics (OLIVIA) Public Relations Intan Muning Harjanti, ST, MT said the 2019 Indonesian Vocational Olympics had the theme “Establishing Creative Innovation, Empowering Vocational Higher Education”. This big theme is based on that the development of vocational education cannot be separated with the absorption of graduates who are ready to work in the industrial world, including creative industries, which are often called creative economics or cultural industries. All of it cannot be separated from innovation, creativity, and ability to invent something, where this is very close to the applied science learned in vocational education “.

Intan added that in this fourth year of the holding of the Indonesian Vocational Olympics (OLIVIA), there were now 8 (eight) branches to be competed, namely: Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI), Business Plan Competition, Video Blog Competition, Smart Device Competition, English Debate Competition, Live Cooking competition, Construction Innovation Competition, and New & Renewable Energy Innovation Competition.

“This activity is expected to be a means of competition that is able to accommodate the competencies of vocational students who are members of the Indonesian Vocational Higher Education Forum (FPTVI) as well as students from universities outside FPTVI. This activity was carried out in conjunction with the 6th FPTVI Congress and the 4th Indonesian Vocational Olympics (OLIVIA).
