IKA Undip Invites People to Eat Fish and Participates in Healthy Walk

Located at the Southwest Door of Monas, Jakarta, Sunday (12/08/2019), the Diponegoro University Alumni Association (IKA UNDIP) of DKI Jakarta and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) held the “Let’s Go for a Healthy Walk, Let’s Eat Fish” event.

The healthy walk was attended by approximately 2,000 participants consisting of Alumni of Diponegoro University, KKP Ministry employees and the general public.

In his statement, the Head of IKA UNDIP DKI Noor Rachmad explained the theme of eating fish and healthy walking is because it is rarely been used.

According to him UNDIP alumni are obliged to help promote healthy living by eating together with the public.

“We want a healthy lifestyle to be socialized with fun. In addition to healthy walking and eating fish, the public also had the opportunity to get some attractive prizes. The expectation is that the message of healthy living can continue to be received and continued by the people of Jakarta and surrounding areas, “explained the man who had just retired from the Jampidum Attorney General’s Office in July 2019.

Indonesia despite as a maritime country indeed counts as low in fish consumption.

The consumption of fish from the homeland is expected to be one of the factors to reduce the stunting rate in Indonesia which is still in high rate.
