RAKERTA 2019: Ready to Compete and Increase Competence

Just recently Diponegoro University held a 2019 End of Year Work Meeting which took place at the Training Center Building II or known as the Bambang Triyono Basuki (BTB) building precisely at Undip inn on Thursday (12/12). Faculties, Bureaus and Units in the University of Diponegoro were the participants of this RAKERTA.

In his remarks, Undip Rector Prof. Dr.Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum. said that, “we must begin to prepare ourselves to face threats such as the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) which allows outside universities to enter the country which has an impact on reducing the number of students because they (potential students) may choose universities from outside which may be cheaper option”. “Both instructors and students must continue to improve the quality along with development. Meanwhile in his report, Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA as the Head of the Undip Planning and Development Agency said that, “There have been many Undip efforts in improving Undip’s achievements and performance to enter the ranking both nationally and internationally”. “The system has been arranged with an application and online that is easily accessed and supported by infrastructure development,” he said.

The event continued with a presentation from the Board of Trustees by the Vice of MWA Prof. Dr. Esmi Warassih Pudjirahayu, SH., M.S., Followed by a presentation by Undip the Head of Academic Senate Prof. Dr. Ir. Sunarso, M.S. Then the presentation of achievements delivered by each Faculty Dean and Heads of the Institute.

From the explanation, it was found that the achievements of Undip students both nationally and internationally have increased rapidly. The number of accredited A courses has increased. Appreciation for student achievement is getting more quality and varies from gathering, sending for English courses and a decrease of UKT with certain requirements.

Services and innovations continue to be carried out such as the addition of operating hours in the library of the Faculty of Economics and Business, smart classrooms at the Faculty of Engineering and SEU reborn at the Faculty of Humanities along with e-office services.
