Team I UNDIP Community Service Student 2020: Increase the Quality and Innovation of Hi-Tech

2,111 students took the Community Sevice program year of 2019/2020. It consisted of 1,000 male students and 1,111 female students. The student Community Service participants were deployed in 10 districts in Central Java. The departure ceremony was held in front of the Widya Puraya field on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020.

Rector of Undip, Prof. Yos Johan Utama, in his speech gave some message “To always maintain personal health and safety, to maintain the good name of Diponegoro University that had been build for long. It is hoped that the Community Service product is a high-technology innovation that is useful for the community”

Head of P2KKN Undip, Fahmi Arifan, S. T., M. Eng, reported, “The Community Service Program is an academic activity that is curricular and interdisciplinary which aims to identify and solve the community problem by prioritizing community empowerment. The activity itself has to be following the competence of graduates of study programs and the implementation is regulated by Undip Rector’s Decree.”

It was also added, “The Team I Undip Community Service lasts for 45 days and deploys in 10 districts; Rembang, Jepara, Pati, Grobogan, Semarang, Demak, Tegal, Batang, Pekalongan dan Pemalang which involves 105 Community Service lecturers and 11 Community Service Coordinator Lecturers. The result from Team I Community Service will be focused on the program related to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Some examples of products produced by the students are processing cooking oil waste into bath soap products, making eco brick, and others following the 15th SDGs’ goal. “
