FPP Holds Closed House Enclosure Management Business Training

“This training is expected to increase the knowledge about Closed House and developments of livestock business cultivation,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University, Dr. Ir. Bambang Waluyo Hadi Eko Prasetyo, M.S., M.Agr. in the Closed House Enclosure Management Business Training event in collaboration with PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia and FPP Undip at FPP Undip (18/6).

In line with the Dean of FPP, Anton Prabani, as Vice President of the Cemerlang Lestari Partnership expressed his hope, that this training could open insights in the field of broiler chicken farming. “Other than aiming to provide an overview of the Close House System, of course Pokphand will also encourage the development of closed houses,” Anton said.

Nowadays broiler breeders have started using modern methods to increase production by using the closed house system. The cage is a closed enclosure that can be regulated (temperature, humidity, air circulation and levels of active substances) with the aim of providing a conducive air and climate for livestock so as to minimize stress levels. Undip itself already has a closed house enclosure used for teaching farms.
