Diponegoro University officially inaugurated 13,198 prospective students to become UNDIP students during the New Student Admissions Ceremony on Monday (14/9/2020). The event was held online and offline at Prof. Building. Soedarto, SH attended by the Rector, Head of SA UNDIP as well as Vice of the UNDIP MWA along with its staffs.

UNDIP Rector Prof. Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum. conveys a welcome greeting to prospective students who have been officially appointed as UNDIP students. “Welcome to the UNDIP campus, a campus that upholds the value of Pancasila and the exemplary figure of the hero of Prince Diponegoro who upholds the values of honesty, fairness, courage, and care,” said Prof. Yos. He further said that it was not easy to be accepted at UNDIP considering the tens of thousands of enthusiasts who were enthusiastic and hoped to study at UNDIP. It is proven that UNDIP is the second favorite campus which always increases the number of enthusiasts. This is inseparable from the achievements and achievements of UNDIP which are always included in the top 10 in the ranking and accreditation of each study program.

In his report, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Budi Setiyono, S.Sos., M.Pol., Admin, Ph.D. added that UNDIP’s achievements and milestones are inseparable from UNDIP’s mission to provide education that produces superior and competitive graduates. Since joining UNDIP, students can take part in career coaching which consists of two options. These choices are as a potential entrepreneur / job creator or as a professional candidate / job seeker. Through learning in lecture classes and career development programs, students can develop their potential to the maximum so that they are born into excellent and proud graduates.

A total of 13,198 new UNDIP students for the 2020/2021 academic year consisted of 254 Doctoral Programs. Then the Master Program totaling 1,106 students. There are 9 specialist programs and 205 professional programs. While the Undergraduate Program is 10,086 students and the Vocational Program is 1,538 students.

Closing his remarks, the Rector advised new students to study hard, even during the current pandemic. “Always be passionate about studying, protect the good name of individuals and the campus where you study,” said Prof. Yos. “Insha Allah, one day each students can become reliable graduates who provide benefits to the people”, he concluded.
