Semarang (20/10) – The Academic Senate Open Meeting is held this morning with the “Purna Adi Cendekia” Ceremony of Academic Senate of Diponegoro University for the 2015-2020 Period. This event takes place in Prof. Soedarto, SH Building Hall, Undip Campus, Tembalang. Present at this event are Undip Rector, Vice Rector, Chair of the Academic Senate, Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees, members of the Academic Senate and the Board of Professors.
The event is opened by the Chairperson of the Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sunarso, MS which begins with the Academic Senate Accountability Report for the 2015-2020 Period. The Academic Senate is one of the three organs of Diponegoro University, namely Rector, Academic Senate, and the Board of Trustees. The duties of the Academic Senate include overseeing the implementation of academic policies and scientific autonomy, as well as developing human resources related to academic aspects. The Academic Senate of Diponegoro University has several commissions, and at the end of this term, an accountability report from each commission will be submitted. “Thank you for the struggle and dedication of the members of the Academic Senate for the 2015-2020 period. Hopefully the work of members of next period will be better, “said Prof. Narso as Chair of the Academic Senate for the 2015-2020 Period.
The inauguration of Undip Academic Senate for the 2020-2025 period is based on the Rector’s Decree regarding the Inauguration of Academic Senate Members. The event is continued with the inauguration of the members of the Academic Senate for the 2020-2025 period. The reading and signing of the Minutes of Handover of Position followed by the submission of a memorandum of end of office and a court hammer, is delivered from the Chairperson of SA Undip for the 2015-2020 Period to the Provisional Chair of SA Undip for the 2020-2025 Period.
“I am grateful for the performance of Academic Senate and its members. Hopefully this ceremony will continue as a series of Undip ceremonies. Hopefully this ceremony would be a series of ceremonial events in Undip. Let’s support the Academic Senate and the academic community. In bonding synergy with each other, I apologize for my lacks. Hopefully Undip will be better with 3 Undip organs and will implement good university governance”, said Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum, Undip Rector.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Valentinus Priyo Bintoro, M.Agr and Prof. Dr. Aristi Dian Purnama Fitri, S.Pi., M.Si are elected as the temporary leaders of Undip Academic Senate for the 2020-2025 period. Thus, “Purna Adi Cendekia” Ceremony of Academic Senate of Diponegoro University for the 2015-2020 period has ended. Hopefully the elected leaders can carry out their duties well.
