Undip Rector Inaugurates E-Learning Studio and Vocational Tax Corner

SEMARANG – On Monday (15/3) Rector of Diponegoro University inaugurated two new teaching industries, namely E-Learning Studio and Vocational Tax Corner (VTC). These two practical facilities are built to support learning for Undip Vocational School students in the era of technology-based Industrial Revolution 4.0. These excellent facilities are the realization of idea of Undip Vocational School to form a quality and modern learning method so that students can immediately apply their skills in the world of work. Held online, the inauguration of E-Learning Studio and Vocational Tax Corner (VTC) were inaugurated by Undip Rector and the event were attended by Head of Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes of Central Java, Chairman of Association of Indonesian Higher Education Tax Centers, Chair of Indonesian Accountants Association, Head of Radio Idola Semarang, Dean of Faculties, as well as invited guests.

With E-Learning Studio facility, Undip students and lecturers can learn the process of making a multimedia-based event program and create collaborative content, for example educational videos. E-Learning Studio uses various information technology-based learning methods, including blended learning, case studies, project based learning, and problem based learning. In practice, students and lecturers can learn about pre-production, production, and post-production from creating creative content.

Dean of Undip Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si, said that the inauguration of these two teaching industries is part of Undip Vocational School’s long-term program, which in 2021-2025 is aimed as the strengthening phase. Programs that have been previously released by Undip Vocational School include e-logistics, e-archive, digital public relations, Japanese English Vocational Languages Center (JEVLAC), Smart Technology Center of Excellence (Pusat Unggulan Iptek), digital village, floating house, renewable energy, welding school, and blended learning. “The presence of Vocational Schools must be able to provide benefits with knowledge that can be immediately put into practice. “It is an honor for Vocational School to collaborate with various faculties to pursue endless knowledge, thanks to all parties and hopefully the collaboration in the future can run well,” said Prof. Budiyono.

In addition to E-Learning Studio, Vocational Tax Corner (VTC) was also inaugurated which will later be useful as a learning place for tax students and help Undip academic community for tax consultation and tax payments. This VTC is pioneered by lecturers and students of Undip Vocational School Applied Taxation Accounting Undergraduate Study Program, under the auspices of Central Java I Regional Tax Office. As a place for tax payments, VTC can help to fill online Letter of Notification and to fill online Letter of Notification of Personal Income Tax for Undip academic community. There are four departments in Undip VTC, namely service and research department, competency studies and tests department, cooperation and business department, and development and innovation department.

“We, the Indonesian Tax Center Association, are happy to cooperate and to provide support for Undip VTC. This joint step is taken to educate taxpayers to all Indonesian people, and create tax-literate citizens to be aware of their rights and obligations as citizens,” said Darussalam, S.E., Ak., CA., M.Sc., LLM Int.Tax., Chairman of Association of Indonesian Higher Education Tax Centers. Furthermore, the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes of Central Java, Teguh Budiharto, S.H., L.L.M.Tax, in his remarks also emphasized the importance of taxes as an important component of development and a supporting factor for national independence.

Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. would like to thank all parties who have collaborated with Undip Vocational School so that E-Learning Studio and Vocational Tax Corner can be inaugurated. He said that excellent programs must be formed in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning process at Undip Vocational School. “Learning process in Vocational Schools is in the form of 70% practice and 30% theory, so it is important to practice it directly in the field. E-Learning Studio can be used by students and lecturers to develop communication and multimedia skills, while Vocational Tax Corner is a center for study and service in the field of taxation. Undip also collaborates with industrial world to improve the competence and competitiveness of Vocational School students,” concluded Prof. Yos.
