At times like this, creativity and innovation are important keys to ensure sustainable development in Indonesia. The hard work of related parties aims to prepare students to be skilled, flexible and resilient. Free Learning Curriculum of Independent Campus is a policy launched by the Minister of Education and Culture. According to Regulation of Minister of Education and Culture No.3 of 2020, it gives students the right to study 3 semesters outside their study program. Students have the right to enrich and increase their knowledge and competence in the real world according to their passion and ideals. This policy is based on learning that can occur anywhere, not only in classrooms, laboratories and libraries but also in villages, industries, workplaces, research centers and in the community.

Faculty of Science and Mathematics of Diponegoro University fully supports the Free Learning Independent Campus Program. One of supports by Faculty of Science and Mathematics is shown through today’s workshop, namely Training on the Preparation of Semester Lesson Plan for Free Learning Curriculum of Independent Campus. By using 2020 curriculum base, the designated Semester Lesson Plan will later be applied to students using S-method. Farikhin, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Deputy Dean I of Faculty of Science and Mathematics Diponegoro University, in his report said that Faculty of Science and Mathematics wants to realize Free Learning Curriculum of Independent Campus as soon as possible to support Regulation of Minister of Education and Culture, and also to support submissions of new study program in Faculty of Science and Mathematics.

Dean of Faculty of Science and Mathematics Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si., M.Si. conveyed in her speech that starting in 2020/2021 learning needs to be equipped with a Semester Learning Plan. This Semester Learning Plan is a document planning guide for students in carrying out lecture activities for one semester to achieve the learning purposes that have been determined to support Free Learning Curriculum of Independent Campus policy in Faculty of Science and Mathematics Undip. Semester Learning Plan is developed by a lecturer independently, with teaching team or together with a group of experts in particular field of science of study program defined in a course.

The first material in the workshop is presented by Dr. Ir. Subandino, M.App.Sc.,with the theme of “Best Practices for the Preparation of Semester Lesson Plan for Free Learning Curriculum of Independent Campus Using Case Method or Team-Based Project”. Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si., M.Sc., said that case solving becomes one of the eight main performance indicators of Legal Entity State University which is presented in the form of a percentage of undergraduate courses that use learning methods of case method or team-based project. This method is part of student method or S-method. The second speaker is Sudarno, M.Sc., who conveyed material related learning analysis that could be applied in Semester Learning Plan, namely blended and flipped, assignment plans for portfolio courses, assessment and evaluation, assessment analytical rubrics and achievement of Graduate Learning Outcomes.
