Undip’s Excellent Service for UTBK Participants with Wheelchairs

Implementation of Computer-Based Exam (Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer / UTBK) was held simultaneously starting on April 12th 2021. Among the thousands of participants who took part in Computer-Based Exam on the third day, on Wednesday (14/4), there is a participant using a wheelchair after an accident. Luckily, today she can take part in Computer-Based Exam at E-Learning Laboratory of ICT Building, Undip Campus, Tembalang.

Chantika Diffa Raihan, one of the Computer-Based Exam participants who attended the exam at Diponegoro University, Semarang, comes from Teuku Umar High School, Semarang, Central Java. With the help of a wheelchair after a motor vehicle accident, Chantika, the participant’s nickname, is very enthusiastic about participating in Computer-Based Exam to continue her education to higher education. Chantika in joining Joint Entrance Selection of State Universities (Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri / SBMPTN) selection this time choose Public Health Study Program of Faculty of Public Health Undip as her first choice.

On another occasion, Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. said that in implementing Computer-Based Exam, Undip’s environment is disability-friendly. For this reason, Undip has prepared the necessary facilities such as preparing location, special tools, programming as well as other supporting infrastructure.

The committee also prepares special officers to assist the needs of participants with disabilities as well as participants who use wheelchairs due to accidents. “Thus, participants with disabilities and those with special needs, as well as participants who use wheelchairs due to accidents can take part in Computer-Based Exam comfortably and smoothly,” said Prof. Yos during an exclusive interview at Faculty of Law Undip.
