SEMARANG – Two study programs of Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) are currently following the assessment process to obtain International Accreditation from Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) as part of Undip’s efforts to become a world class university. FIBAA is a quality assurance and quality development institution for higher education based in Germany.

The two study programs that are being processed for accreditation by FIBAA are Law Undergraduate Study Program and Law Postgraduate Study Program. As for other study programs at Faculty of Law Undip, namely Legal Studies Doctoral Study Program and Master of Notary Study Program, they will follow after Law Undergraduate Study Program and Law Postgraduate Study Program have officially obtained FIBAA accreditation.

The Head of Preparation Team of Faculty of Law Undip, Dr. Aditya Yuli Sulistyawan, S.H., M.H., told the PR team on Monday (6/9/2021), that this step is in line with the vision and mission of Faculty of Law Undip to become one of the faculties with international standards and global competitiveness. “This also supports Undip’s steps to improve the quality of services and learning on campus in order to be the best in the ranking of universities both at national and global levels,” he said.

Regarding the preparations carried out, various required documents have been completed internally with a self-assessment report (SAR) pattern as an assessment requirement to get international accreditation from FIBAA. The leaders of Faculty of Law Undip has also formed a special committee in charge of preparing for this assessment.

“I was appointed as the person in charge of the assessment committee team. So I immediately formed a team to prepare the documents required for international accreditation assessment from FIBAA,” said Aditya Yuli.

Preparations have been carried out since nine months ago. Aditya and his team worked hard to complete the required documents, as well as filled out various forms required as a condition of completeness of accreditation. “The assessment components consist of student admission procedures, curriculum, quality of supporting infrastructure for lectures, teaching processes and quality assurance in related study programs,” he added.

The assessment process by FIBAA Assessor Team is carried out online through Zoom platform on August 31st – September 2nd 2021. The assessment process is carried out by interviewing a number of officials at Faculty of Law starting from the Dean and Deputy Deans; then professors, lecturer representatives, alumni, educational staffs, as well as several students.

“This was done by FIBAA Assessor Team to check and adjust the information attached to the document with several key informants. The assessment process went smoothly and Faculty of Law Undip will receive announcement of the assessment results in November 2021,” he explained.
