Character Education activities of Diponogoro University in 2021 was opened directly by Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M. Hum. on Thursday (19/8). In his remarks, the Rector congratulated the students who successfully passed selection exam and become Undip students.

“From the scientific field, of course, the students have been tested because they were chosen based on scientific achievements and the tests they took. Furthermore, what will be obtained at Undip is the best education because besides Undip being ranked in the top 10 nationally, Undip graduates are fast in getting jobs after graduation,” he said.

“Undip is a religious campus, not only getting smart people but with excellent characters. Prince Diponegoro’s values, Honest, Fair, Courageous and Caring are the characters that will be the basis of all actions, words, and writings of every Undip student. These values are an embodiment of the good traits of Undip students. Honest and fair is not only aimed at other people, but mainly at yourself. Courage means having a firm attitude in determining your attitude with all risks, while caring is a compassionate attitude towards others. These values will create people who have great character followed by COMPLETE values, namely Communicator, Professional, Leader, Entrepreneur and Thinker,” explained the Rector.

At the end of his speech, Undip Rector advised the students to not only see this activity as a ceremonial event. There are lessons can be learned because it is full of noble values that will become a guidance in life, especially after graduating and working in accordance with respective fields.

“Indonesia will be better because it is guaranteed to be in the hands of Undip people who have honest, fair, courageous and caring values supported by COMPLETE values. Congratulations on joining Character Education activities and I hope you get many benefits from this activity,” he concluded. (Linda – Public Relations)
