UNDIP Supported Reforestation Activity in Commemoration of the 76th Public Service Day

In commemoration of the 76th Public Service Day, Rusunawa (Student Flats) at Diponegoro University received 10 (ten) productive trees, including mango, rambutan and avocado from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia (PUPR). The activity carried out is reforestation of sustainable infrastructure of PUPR by planting productive trees. The planting activity was carried out in the front area of the Rusunawa F Building (1/12).

Kartika Widya Utama, S.H., M.H., as Deputy Head of the Undip Commercial Business Management and Risk Analysis Agency, attended the event and symbolically planted trees. The criteria of trees planted include vegetation according to regional character, minimum tree height of 1.5 meters, economic/productive values, durable and does not damage infrastructure.

Undip also continues to be a green campus that is environmentally-friendly and implements all activities related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) internally and externally. In terms of environmental management, Undip has achieved rank 2nd nationally and rank 39th globally according to UI GreenMetric rankings. The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings system is expected to increase the awareness of all parties in the institution to pay more attention to global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation.
