Diponegoro University (Undip) students have made another achievement in the field of sports. It is M. Hafizh, a student majoring in Management, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Undip class of 2019 who won a bronze medal at the 2021 SEA Games held in Vietnam.

Competing at Tay Ho Gymnasium, Tay Ho District on Monday (16/05), Hafizh won a medal through Taekwondo sport in the Men’s Team Recognized Poomsae number. He along with Muhammad Alfi Kusuma and Muhammad Rizal managed to secure the bronze medal after winning 7,466 points.

“The preparation is one year, starting from May 2021. This competition is only 2 weeks from the last World Championship so it makes us more confident for competing at SEA Games. We have carried out every training program according to the material and direction from the coach,” said M. Hafiz.

“We must be grateful regardless of the result. It is an evaluation for all of us so that next time we can achieve better results, of course we want a gold medal, and we will continue to train harder,” he concluded.

This Taekwondo athlete who was born in Yogyakarta on August 18, 2000 has indeed made many achievements in the field of sports. He has participated in various championships. Finally, he won a Bronze medal at the 2022 GOYANG World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships which was held in South Korea last April.
