Diponegoro University (Undip) is holding an Independent Examination (UM) from June 30, 2022 to July 8, 2022. UM Undip is held online through a Zoom meeting where participants can take the exam from their respective residences, with strict supervision from the UM S1 Undip coordinators and supervisors.

The committee of UM S1 Undip has announced general instructions and technical instructions for the implementation of the exam, considering that it is held online, participants must prepare requirements that support the implementation of the exam. General instructions include preparing a blank paper and pen to count, preparing an identity card (SIM or KTP), preparing a laptop that has the Google Chrome application to open the exam website and Zoom meeting. Participants are allowed to use 2 different tools, if there are problems in the online exam process. Participants are also expected to log in to the Zoom meeting at the specified time using the Zoom ID listed on the participant card.

Technical instructions include that participants are required to follow the host’s directions to the breakout room, participants change the name of the Zoom meeting according to the provisions, participants follow the supervisor’s instructions to log in on the exam website, participants are prohibited from turning off the Zoom camera and participants are prohibited from opening a new page (new tab) in the browser when the exam is carried out. In working on the questions, participants can start from the TPA questions followed by the TPS questions with the allotted time.

UM S1 Undip which lasts for 9 days is held in 4 sessions every day. Session 1 at 07:30 – 09:00 WIB, Session 2 at 09:30 – 11:00 WIB, Session 3 at 12:30 – 14:00 WIB, Session 4 at 14:30 – 16:00 WIB.

Dr. Aris Triwiyatno, S.T., M.T. as the Head of the Information and Education Technology Center of LP2MP Undip stated that there were around 240 exam supervisors per day, with 60 exam supervisors in each session. The average number of UM S1 participants on the first day (Thursday, 30 June 2022) and the second day (Friday, 1 July 2022) is 900 participants per session. Meanwhile, on the third day (Saturday, 2 July 2022) and the fourth day (Sunday, 3 July 2022) the average number of UM S1 participants reached 1200 participants per session.

The enthusiasm of UM S1 Undip registrants in 2022 has increased from the previous year, although the exams are still held online like last year. “Alhamdulillah, it went smoothly, minor problems occurred such as participants could not log in. We handle it well, we contact the participants and we guide them so they can login to the exam website,” said Aris Triwiyatno.

“The implementation of UM S1 Undip has been going well. Hopefully the participants who pass the exam with the good scores will become qualified Undip students. For the participants of UM S1 Undip, you have tried hard, don’t be discouraged and hopefully you will get satisfactory results,” said Aris Triwiyatno to the UM S1 Undip participants.
