Diponegoro University (Undip) proudly inaugurated as many as 282 graduates from the Bidikmisi program at the 167th Graduation Ceremony which was held offline at Prof. Building. Soedarto, Undip Tembalang campus from 26 July 2022 to 02 August 2022.
The graduation which was held in 11 stages was attended by 2,665 graduates, which included 38 people from Doctoral programs, 386 people from Master programs, 70 people from Specialist programs, 120 people from Professional programs, 1,828 people from Bachelors, 27 people from Applied Bachelor programs, and 196 people from Diploma programs. Thus up to the Undip 167th Graduation Ceremony, the number of Undip graduates has reached 242,000 people. Meanwhile, at this graduation there were 1,570 graduates or 58.91% of them who achieved Cumlaude predicate.
The Bidikmisi Program is an educational fee assistance from the Government for high school graduates (SMA) or equivalent who have good academic potential but have economic limitations.
The Bidikmisi program is different from scholarships that focus on providing awards or financial support to those who excel. However, the achievement requirements for the Bidikmisi program are aimed at ensuring that recipients of the Bidikmisi program are selected from those who truly have the potential and willingness to complete higher education.
Being one of the leading universities in Indonesia, Undip has committed to support the Bidikmisi program which has been organized by the Government, so that every citizen has the right to education and can increase equitable access to higher education levels.
