Batang – Off-Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) Diponegoro University (Undip) Batang Campus is again holding various training in order to realize the Community Development and Empowerment Program (P3M), on Saturday (12/11/2022). The activity that was held at the PSDKU Undip Batang Campus was attended by 20 local youths who were in Tumbrep Village, Bandar District, Batang Regency.
The series of training held included Public Speaking Training, together with resource person a lecturer in the Public Relations Study Program, MJ Rizqon Hasani, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. with various experiences as public speaking trainers.
“Later, you and I can learn about the importance of learning public speaking from Mas MJ, especially for organizing or applying for jobs,” said Dr. Drs. Retno Dwi Irianto, MM, who at this training gave a briefing address on behalf of the Head of the Off-Campus Study Program Management Institute (LPPSDKU), Dr. Redyanto Noor, M. Hum.
This Public Speaking training is intended to explore the potential of local residents considering that many of them work as MSMEs actors which require them to meet many people, so they need good communication skills to attract people to buy their products.
In his presentation, MJ argued that by learning public speaking we learn to be confident or confident and have the courage to communicate.
“With this training I want to teach and train them to be brave and willing to speak in public so that they can convey their ideas well,” said MJ.
During the public speaking training the participants were taught about forming a mindset about public speaking, that speaking in public is not as scary as one might imagine and there is also vocabulary pronunciation training so that it is fluent when speaking. Tips are also given that can help to train the public speaking of the participants who attend so that it is hoped that after attending this training the participants can be more fluent in speaking and conveying their ideas/ideas in public.
