The event was held at the Prof. Sudarto, SH Building yard, Undip Tembalang Campus. The KKN Students Exhibition, held on February 19, 2024, is a blend of the work presentations of 33 regular KKN teams and 6 thematic KKN teams from Undip, supplemented by 10 MSMEs from the Thematic KKN teams.

Representatives from 39 stands from 8 districts, including Pemalang, Pekalongan, Sragen, Klaten, Magelang, Boyolali, Sukoharjo, and Temanggung, showcased the results of their work programs and outstanding innovative products during the students’ 35-day KKN program in appointed villages followed by 10 days on campus. The KKN works results received appreciation from Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, SH, M.Hum, “All the work done by the students is beautiful and excellent.” Alhamdulillah, congratulations on reaching this point and being able to hold this exhibition. I hope you will soon graduate and find employment after this,” said Prof. Yos during his address.

Undip Rector took the time to visit several stands showcasing the KKN students’ work exhibition, expressing his pride in the students’ ability to empower the potential of both village residents and MSMEs. Undip KKN students are considered capable of empowering MSMEs and strengthening the role of the community in improving the environment. The empowerment effort includes MSME products selected and certified by the Thematic Community Service (KKNT) team.

Meanwhile, at the beginning of the event, the Chairman of the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), Prof. Dr.Ing.Ir. Suherman, S.T., M.T., in his address, stated, “Alhamdulillah, on February 7, 2024, Diponegoro University (Undip) Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. along with his team conducted Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) at one of the locations where the Community Service (KKN) Team 1 Undip for Academic Year 2023/2024 took place in Warungpring District, Pemalang Regency” (https://www.undip.ac.id/post/33508/rektor-undip-kkn-membangun-leadership-dan-tanggung-jawab.html), he explained.

The exhibition was then officially opened by Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc., as the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation. He mentioned that this year’s exhibition activities were centralized on campus, which felt different as they are usually held at each KKN location in each district. This was due to preparations for the upcoming elections. “During the visit to the KKN locations in Pemalang yesterday, progress was found in the innovations made by KKN students from previous years, and we hope this event will be one that can be done at the end of each KKN period with an Exhibition of Works showcasing the work from each district,” said Prof. Ambar.

Additionally, there were work programs showcased at the exhibition from 12 thematic KKN teams and Thematic Community Service (KKNT) teams around the campus, including halal certification; Santri Putri Darul Ilmi; organic waste processing; Sumurboto; KHDTK; Independent Community Empowerment; Sustainable Diponegoro Reservoir; Dung Tungkul; Computer Education Institute; Sukoharjo Disabled Community Assistance; PSDKU Pekalongan; and Maslinting.

The exhibition was lively, enhanced by musical entertainment and art performances by KKN student representatives featuring Bands, Modern Dance, Solo Guitar, Stand Up Comedy, and Martial Arts from 8 districts and Undip art teams, as well as MSME expos. (DHW-Public Relations)
