Undip Establish Its Step by Annual Meeting

As a research university with PTN-BH (Legal Entity State University) status, Diponegoro University (Undip) establish its steps by Annual Working Meeting (Rakerta) 2018 on Tuesday (May 15, 2018) at Wujil, Ungaran, Semarang Regency. In his speech, Undip Rector Prof.Yos Johan Utama said that the meeting is a need of organization’s management, for re-aligning its sustainable vision, mission, and program, as well as for evaluating each unit’s works and performances and its  next year target.

Rector addressed his grateful to all leaders have supported and cooperated with him, so that results of financial audit of Undip was stated “unqualified opinion” (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian/WTP) by Indonesian Supreme Audit Institution (Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan/BPK). Furthermore, Rector suggested all Deans and structural officials that each faculty’s achievements has to increase every year, both in its service to students and publics, scientific publications, accreditations and performances. Therefore, policies in units have to be directed to realize all of them. “On this year, of 146 studies programs in Undip, 62 have accredited A. Our target on this year is 80% of study program have to reach A accreditation, in line with Ministry of Research, Technology, Higher Education’s regulation,” he told all participants of the meeting. The particilants included Undip’s Deans, Directors, and officials.

He also said that Undip offered support to all lecturers who did not take doctoral program yet. Even Undip let the officials in each structural organization to take doctoral program as long as their studies  does not interfere their duties and responsibilities. “Please take doctoral program if you did not yet, Undip will give free (tuition fee) to lecturer taking this program if they seriously take the doctoral program and did not get scholarship,” Rector said.

Beside encouraging lecturers in academics, Undip will also offer all lecturers and staff some facilities, such as free medical check-up at Undip’s Diponegoro National Hospital. Rector also reminded all of faculty leaders to give good services to students and to involve students in determining Single Tuition Fee (UKT – Uang Kuliah Tunggal). “I asked faculties for involving students in checking students’ social economic condition prior to determine UKT; it is to reduce complaints/appeals or incorrect targets of UKT. We emphasize that there is no Undip’s student have to fail their studies on the grounds of financial problems. Undip will help them to look for the problem solving, so that they will be able to continue their studies,” the former Dean of Faculty of Law said.

Rector also suggested officials of administration for understanding whole information on internal policy of Undip or on partners, so that they can prevent information misleading. (ND/Humas)
