Cool! UNDIP Number 2 with Most SNBP Applicants in 2024

Semarang – Central Java (March 28). Diponegoro University (UNDIP) continues to be a favorite State University (PTN) that is highly sought after—a total of 34,658 applicants registered to study at UNDIP. Out of 20 Academic State Universities, Diponegoro University ranked second in terms of the highest number of applicants.

The Committee for the National Selection for New Student Admission (SNPMB) has released the announcement of the results of the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) for the year 2024 on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 3:00 pm. The announcement results can be accessed at the website: https://pengumuman-snbp-snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id by entering the SNBP 2024 registration number and the participant’s date of birth according to the personal data integrated into the SNPMB system. The total number of SNBP participants for the year 2024 is 702,312 senior high school students. Based on the number of applicants, out of 20 Academic State Universities, Diponegoro University ranked second with 34,658 participants.

In her statement to the UNDIP Public Relations team, the Secretary of LP2MP (Institution for Development and Assurance of Education Quality), Prof. Dr. Paramita Prananingtyas, S.H., LLM. stated that UNDIP remains a favorite due to its achievements, excellent accreditation, and quality graduates. “It is proven that UNDIP alumni are graduates who quickly obtain employment in 2021 and 2022 based on the QS Ranking for Employability 2021-2022; National Ranking 2 and World Ranking 30 of Sustainable University based on UI Greenmetrics 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023; National Ranking 2 for the Best PTNBH in 2021; Top 5 for the Best PTNBH in 2022; Top 8 National Rank for World University Rank 2023 according to QS WUR,” said Prof. Mita, as she is fondly called. She added that UNDIP has more than 20 internationally accredited study programs according to ABEST, FIBAA, and ASIIN. In addition, 24 programs are ranked among the top 1 to 3 best programs nationally. Following the latest achievement, the Animal Sciences program at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP) UNDIP successfully ranked 4th in Asia and 84th globally according to the international ranking by Edurank. Furthermore, Prof. Mita explained that out of the total of 34,658 SNBP 2024 applicants, only 3,055 were declared eligible, while the recipients of the KIP Kuliah Undip scholarship amounted to 713 individuals.

Prof. Mita added that in 2024, two study programs with the strictest selection percentages at Diponegoro University are the Pharmacy program (selection ratio of 1:53) and the Dentistry program (selection ratio of 1:51). This indicates that the Faculty of Medicine at UNDIP is proven to be excellent and highly sought after. Currently, UNDIP offers 55 undergraduate programs, 11 applied undergraduate programs, 62 postgraduate and professional programs, and 21 specialist/sub-specialist programs.

For SNBP 2024 participants who have not passed the selection, there is still an opportunity to register for UTBK at UNDIP through the SNBT 2024 pathway. Registration is open from March 21 to April 5, 2024.
