Faculty of Law Universitas Diponegoro Successfully Held Icoleg 2021 in Pandemic Situation

Semarang- July 1, 2021, the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University was organized The 2nd International Conference on Law, Economic and Governance (ICOLEG). This international conference  will be held from 29 to 30 June 2021. The theme this year is “The Wave of Digitalization on Digital Society: Challenging Ethics and Law Moral Boundaries”. In order to comply with health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held in a hybrid manner, offline for the committee in the Litigation Building Seminar Room, Faculty of Law Undip, while domestic and foreign participants and speakers took part online in the Zoom Apps Meeting platform.

On the first day of ICOLEG 2021, the conference were started  directly by the Chancellor of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M. Hum. and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M. Hum. In their welcoming speech, the Chancellor of Diponegoro University and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University welcomed and thanked the keynote speakers, presenters and all participants who attended this prestigious international conference.

Konferensi internasional yang diketuai oleh Dr. Irma Cahyaningtyas, S.H., M.H. ini menghadirkan delapan keynote speakers yang merupakan pakar hukum terkemuka, baik di level nasional maupun internasional, yakni:

  2. Benedict Sheehy , B.Th., M.A., JD., M.A., LL.M., Ph.D. (Professor School of Law, University of Canberra) dengan materi “Corporate Social Responsibility in the Digital Age”.
  1. Joanne van der Leun, B.A., M.A., Ph.D. (Pakar Kriminologi dan Dekan School of Law, Leiden University) dengan materi “Migration, Refugees ang Digitalization in Europe”.
  2. Associate Dr. Salawati Mat Basir, LL.B.,LL.M. (Associate Professor , Faculty of Law, The National University of Malaysia) dengan materi “The Impact of Digitalization Era toward International Development Law, especially in South East Asian Region”.
  3. Dr. F.X. Joko Priyono, S.H.,M.Hum. (Guru Besar Hukum Internasional Fakultas Hukum Undip) dengan materi “The Role of Moral Boundaries for the Digital Society in International Business Law Perspective”.
  4. M.R. Andri Gunawan Wibisana, LL.M., Ph.D. (Universitas Indonesia) dengan materi Workshop Publikasi Ilmiah.
  5. Shidarta, S.H.,M.Hum. (Pakar Filsafat Hukum Universitas Bina Nusantara) dengan materi “Ethics and Law in A Digital Society: A Study of Legal Philosophy”.
  6. Herlambang P. Wiratraman, S.H., M.A. (Peneliti dan Pakar Hukum Tata Negara & Hak Asasi Manusia, Universitas Airlangga) dengan materi “Human Rights in Digital Era”.

The 2nd ICOLEG 2021 led and coordinated by Dr. Irma Cahyaningtyas, S.H., M.H. This event invited  eight keynote speakers who are leading legal experts, both at national and international levels, such as :

  1. David Bamford, B.A., LL.B., GDSP. (Professor School of Law, Flinders University, Australia) provided  information regarding to : “The Challenges of Law Enforcement in the Digital Age”.
  2. Benedict Sheehy, B.Th., M.A., JD., M.A., LL.M., Ph.D. (Professor School of Law, University of Canberra) provided information regarding to : “Corporate Social Responsibility in the Digital Age”.

  4. Associate Prof. Dr. Salawati Mat Basir, LL.B.,LL.M. (Associate Professor, Faculty of Law, The National University of Malaysia) provided information regarding to : “The Impact of Digitalization Era toward International Development Law, especially in South East Asian Region”.
  5. Dr. F.X. Joko Priyono, S.H., M. Hum. (Professor of International Law, Faculty of Law Undip) provided information regarding to : “The Role of Moral Boundaries for the Digital Society in International Business Law Perspective”.
  6. M.R. Andri Gunawan Wibisana, LL.M., Ph.D. (University of Indonesia) provided information regarding to Scientific Publication Workshop.
  7. Shidarta, S.H., M. Hum. (Expert in Legal Philosophy at Bina Nusantara University) provided information regarding to “Ethics and Law in A Digital Society: A Study of Legal Philosophy”.
  8. Herlambang P. Wiratraman, S.H., M.A. (Researcher and Expert in Constitutional Law & Human Rights, Universitas Airlangga) provided information regarding to “Human Rights in Digital Era”.

Acting as moderator, Dr. Adya Paramita Prabandari, S.H., M.L.I., M.H. (Lecturer of the International Law Department, Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University) and this occasion  was hosted by Farraziyan Athisya (Student of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University).

This series of activities consisted of Plenary Sessions, Parallel Scientific Sessions, and a virtual tour of Semarang City as well as a virtual performance of Satya Dharma Gita= Student Choir Group , Faculty of Law, Undip. A number of 123 selected articles have been presented by the authors in parallel scientific sessions which are divided into eight chambers, namely International Law, Administrative and Governan Law, Criminal Law, State & Constitutional Law, Business and Corporate Law, Law in the Digital Era, Private and Indigenous Law. , and Miscellaneous and Special Issues. The output of this conference is in the form of publications in proceedings and reputable journals.

On the last day of ICOLEG 2021, the international conference closed with a speech and gratitude  from the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, Dr. Tri Laksmi Indreswari, S.H., M.H.
