Anisa Nabila Rezki, UNDIP Student Won 1st Place in Renzo International Open Karate Championship

“I feel happy and proud to be a part of Diponegoro University. In addition to being a leading university in the academic field, Undip also provides a platform and facilities for outstanding athletes to continue their achievements to a higher level. Besides attending lectures, I am focusing on karate training as daily activities,” said Anisa Nabila Rezki, a student of Communication Science, Faculty of Social Science and Political Science, Diponegoro University who excels in the sport of karate.

For Anisa, karate is a martial art which does not only teach how to defend or bring down opponents but there are lessons about the philosophy of life that teaches karate to be loyal and uphold noble behavior in society.

“From karate one can learn how to control oneself, not only to oneself but how to control oneself to face the masses. Self-control will also give birth to integrity, a karateka must have good integrity and dedication, and is expected to excel,” she said.

The competitions she has won include the 2018 Malaysia Open International Championship (1st place), the 2019 TNI Commander National Championship in Bandung (3rd Place), the Riau Regional Championship (1st Place), the Best of the Best Senior Women’s Champion, as well as the 2022 Renzo Cup National Championship in Jakarta (1st Place).

Anisa said education is number one because without knowledge we are nothing and what is no less important is participating in organizations to build relationships and make future achievements. (Lin – Public Relations)
