Golf Tournament of Faculty of Economics and Business Diponegoro University (UNDIP) which was held at Bogor Raya Golf Club, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday (28/3/2021) was a success. Apart from being a tournament event, this event is also an activity that embodies the synergy and consolidation of alumni with the alma mater.
At least 144 people participated in the event. In addition to alumni and partner institutions, also present Undip Vice Rector 1 for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Budi Setiyono, Ph.D; Special Staff of Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Moh Nasir; Professor of Doctoral Program in Environmental Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ir Sri Puryono; Head of Alumni Family Association of Faculty of Economics and Business (Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis) Undip, Saiful Bahri; Chairperson of Faculty of Economics and Business Undip’s Golf Club, Randianto; Secretary General of IKA Undip, Desmon Hastiono; Chairman of Diponegoro Golf Community Center, Lukman Hidayat; and Chairman of Central Java Diponegoro Golf Community, Hastanto; as well as Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.
The Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., said that he was very impressed and appreciated the event. In his view, this Golf Tournament as series of events of Faculty of Economics and Business UNDIP’s 61st Anniversary can actually consolidate alumni who have strategic positions in many companies. He hopes that the alumni who hold strategic positions in several institutions will be encouraged to participate in improving the quality of the faculty, especially for the development of campus networks with the business world.
“With the participation of 144 alumni, I hope that Independent Campus and Free Learning Programs, will be carried out smoothly especially in the apprenticeship program and sharing experiences of alumni or often referred to as CEO Talk,” said Suharnomo, on Tuesday (30/3/2021).
In the future, he hopes that many young alumni can join in so that solidity between alumni generations can be created and the spirit of Diponegoro’s values can continue to be imprinted and provide more benefits for society and the nation.

The Head of IKAFE Undip, Saiful Bahri, revealed that the Undip FEB Golf Tournament in Bogor Raya is the first event of FEB Undip held outside the province of Central Java. Holding the event outside Semarang City where FEB Undip Campus is located, Bogor is chosen in order to facilitate the consolidation of many FEB alumni who live around Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, dan Bekasi. “By holding an event in Bogor, more alumni can be involved in contributing to their alma mater,” said Saiful Bahri.
Behind the success of this event, Saiful said that at first most of them felt unsure, given the committee’s limited resources. “But Alhamdulillah, it turns out that the supports continually come from various parties, especially the seniors, that made the committee and the entire IKAFE board feel more confident. Most of the participants were satisfied and asked that this event be held regularly in Bogor Raya,” he said.
According to him, the most memorable thing is when FEB alumni play golf as if they are still students and forget for a while their current age. For this reason, as chairman of the alumni, Saiful really hopes that events like this can be held again next year.
The Head of FEB Undip Golf Tournament Committee 2021, Tedhi Irawan, admitted that he was grateful since the event could run smoothly. This tournament was attended by 144 players consisting of the majority of Undip Faculty of Economics and Business alumni, and other alumni from Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, and other faculties as well as several invited participants and sponsors. “We express gratitude to the alumni and sponsors for organizing this activity. Among them are Peruri, Pertamina, Bank Mandiri, Bank BTN, Pegadaian, Jamkrindo, Sicpa Peruri, BNI, BRI, RNI, PT Pupuk Pusri, Elnusa and other sponsors,” said Tedhi.
