Ayu Sabrina (UNDIP Graduate): Everyone Has the Right to Freedom in Achievement

“Everyone has the right to be independent in achieving something great, both in academic and non-academic aspects. The most important thing is to have the courage to develop and process and be responsible for choices. Focusing on academics is important, but it also needs to be balanced with organizational and social skills,” said Ayu Sabrina, the student of International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social Science and Political Science with a GPA of 3.86 who graduated at the 167th Graduation Ceremony of Diponegoro University.

Apart from focusing on academic activities, Ayu is also active as a public speaker. She is involved in the world of organization and community service, being a part-time worker, being content creators, as well as participating in several internships and is actively involved in the Merdeka Campus program.

“When I was in college, I once wrote down a dream, ‘I want to travel around Indonesia with achievements, I am grateful to go abroad’. And it turns out, Undip is bridging that dream by providing delegation funds for students who want to compete. During my studies at Undip, I had many opportunities to meet new great people as well as participate in reputable and prestigious activities at the national and international levels. Even the lecturers and all Undip educational staff fully support the positive activities of their students,” she continued.

Ayu has achieved many achievements, including the Gold Medal “Advanced International Global Competition (AIGC) Singapore” (2019); 1st Place in the National Essay Competition (2019) and 2nd Place in the Central Java-DIY Essay Competition (2019); Central Java Delegation in the “Great Indonesia Leader Summit” (2019); 3rd Winner Essay Competition Voice for Voiceless (2020); 2nd Winner World Humanitarian Day Contest (2020); Youth Exchange Program 3 Weeks and 3 Countries (2020); Indonesian Delegation in the World Peace International Forum (2020); Indonesian Delegation in “The 5th China-ASEAN Youth Summit” (2021); Indonesian Delegation in the “International Students Virtual Mobility Program” (2021); Teaching Campus Batch 1 (March – June 2021); Independent Study of Certified New Exporter 4.0 (2021); Resource person of “2021 Independent Campus Festival” with the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Minister of Education and Technology (June 2021); Independent Learning Consortium Student Exchange (KMB-3PT Odd Semester 2020/2021: Undip-Unhas-Unpad); and Recipient of the Independent Learning For All Scholarship (Mendikbud Ristek) at Rochester Institute of Technology and Pradita University (2021).
