LPPM UNDIP Provides Free Treatment to Residents of the Asshodiqiyah Islamic Boarding School in Gayamsari District

The Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) carried out community service by organizing free medical treatment for flood-affected residents, especially at the Asshodiqiyah Islamic Boarding School, Sawah Besar, Kaligawe Village, Gayamsari District, Semarang, on Sunday (3/24).

This activity was conducted with the assistance of the Community Service Volunteer Team (RPM) from LPPM UNDIP, who helped the community understand the importance of maintaining health.

The event began with a speech by the Chairman of LPPM, Prof. Dr. Ing. Ir. Suherman S.T., M.T., who expressed gratitude to various parties who helped organize this activity. The speech was followed by remarks from the Chairman of the Asshodiqiyah Islamic Boarding School Foundation and concluded by the Chairman of the Free Medical Treatment activity, Dr. dr. Sri Winarni, M.Kes.

In this free medical treatment program, various treatments were provided, including checking body weight, height, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels. Participants also received souvenirs from UNDIP. The activity provided 350 treatment vouchers to assist the surrounding residents.

“Thank you for your participation and dedication from UNDIP. We have long been fostering ties, especially with UNDIP Rector Prof. Yos Johan Utama, who has always helped us. Now, alhamdulillah, it is continued by Prof. Suharnomo. Hopefully, this collaboration will not only stop here but will continue,” concluded the Chairman of the Asshodiqiyah Islamic Boarding School Foundation, Mr. Shidqon Prabowo.

In a previous event on Wednesday (3/20), the Logistics and Field Teams from LPPM UNDIP distributed assistance in the form of groceries, toiletries, and other necessities. The event was also attended by the UNDIP Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.
