DIO Day 2021: New Student Admission for International Students at Diponegoro University

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) in coordination with the International Affairs Office, Education Quality Assurance and Development Institute (Lembaga Pengembangan dan Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan / LP2MP) and Academic Administration and Student Bureau (Biro Administrasi Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan / BAAK) held a virtual Diponegoro International Orientation (DIO) Day on Friday, August 20th 2021.

DIO Day is a New Student Admission event for international students who will start their education at UNDIP in the Odd Semester of Academic Year of 2021/2022. The event was attended by around 180 participants consisting of University, Faculties and Study Programs Leaders and of course international students from around 30 countries around the world.

“It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you all in Diponegoro University, as one of the best Universities in Indonesia. We are confident that we can provide excellent education and services for our students; not only home students but also international students. We aim to be the Excellent Research University which could deliver exceptional academic ambience as well as cultural experience, especially for our international students. Although the classes will be conducted online, but we hope that this pandemic will end soon. We then will be able to welcome you in person here, in Semarang, Capital City of Central Java,” said Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., the Rector of Diponegoro University, in his Opening Speech.

International students who are accepted to study at UNDIP in Odd Semester of Academic Year of 2021/2022 come from various admission paths, namely the Regular/Self-Financed program, Developing Country Partnership Scholarships (Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang / KNB) and Undip Scholarships. The education levels chosen include International Undergraduate Programs, Postgraduate programs and also Exchange Programs.

Some of the faculties chosen by international students in 2021 include the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Faculty of Humanities, and also Postgraduate School.
