Diponegoro University (Undip) students once again won proud achievements at the national level competition. Closing 2022, two Undip students made a proud achievement by being inaugurated as Indonesian SDGs Campus Ambassadors for the 2022 by the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas. This award is part of a series of events from the 2022 SDGs Annual Conference (2022 Annual Sustainable Development Goals Conference) Indonesia, and Bappenas as the coordinator of the implementation of SDGs in Indonesia is holding the 2nd SDGs Campus Ambassador competition for the 2022–2024 period.

Based on the Decree of the Secretary of the Ministry of PPN/Main Secretary of Bappenas Number KEP.108/SES/HK/11/2022, two Undip students who succeeded in obtaining the title of 2022 Indonesian SDGs Campus Ambassadors for the Inspiration Category from Bappenas, namely Heri Gunawan (Business Administration student of FISIP Undip) and Hasna Asti Fatihah (Student of Urban and Regional Planning student of FT Undip). In preparation for participating in the competition, participants are required to prepare a Program Work Plan and activities for the SDGs Campus Ambassadors for 2023-2024 which are in line with the programs and activities of the SDGs Center on campus and support efforts to socialize SDGs within the campus environment and the surrounding community.

Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. expressed pride for the awards won by Undip students. “Congratulations on the award you won as the Indonesian SDGs Campus Ambassadors in 2022. Undip is a campus that supports the implementation of SDGs, so let’s continue with the entire academic community to support Undip’s contribution and role as a Sustainable Campus,” said Prof. Yos.

With this achievement, it is hoped that the enthusiasm of fellow students will increase and the students will play a direct role in the implementation of the SDGs program in the campus environment.
