FT UNDIP Collaborated with the Association of Indonesian Procurement Experts to Manage Masters in Industrial Engineering Concentration of Procurement Management

The Master of Engineering and Industrial Management Study Program, Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University (FT Undip) has just held the 29th Webinar Series in hybrid manner, online on Zoom meeting platform and offline at the 4th Floor Theater Room of the Dean Building on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 08.30 WIB.

This event was attended by the Dean of FT Undip and his staff, the General Chair of the Central Board of the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI), the Deputy for Human Resources Development & Development of the Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP), and Widyaiswara Main Expert of the Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP).

The webinar with the theme “Research Edge in Industrial Engineering and Management” was also filled with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Engineering and the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI). This collaboration includes the implementation of the Master in Industrial Engineering program with a concentration on Procurement Management at FT Undip.

The collaboration was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between FT Undip, represented by the Dean of FT Undip, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. with the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI) represented by the General Chairperson of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI), Ir. Sonny Sumarsono, MBA., PMP.

In his speech, the Dean of FT Undip, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. welcome and express his gratitude for the cooperation that has begun. “We as the leaders of the Faculty of Engineering express our gratitude for this collaboration. The signing of this collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering and the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI) is one of our foundations in order to hold a Master in Industrial Engineering program with a concentration in the field of procurement of goods and services.” he said.

Prof. Agung added that this collaboration is in line with the vision of the Faculty of Engineering, which is to become an excellent research-based faculty. “This is very relevant to the vision of the Faculty of Engineering to become a Research-Based Excellence Faculty at the International level which will be achieved in 2024.” explained Prof. Agung.

Representing the Deputy for Human Resources Development & Development of the Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP), Widyaiswara Main Expert of the Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP), Ir. Tatang Rustandar Wiraatmadja, M.T. revealed that the procurement of goods and services is one of the important functions in all organizations. With the importance of this function, it is necessary to develop the competence of Human Resources (HR).

“Hopefully, there will be many lessons and experiences to be learned from this event. This also provides enrichment material for the implementation of the Master of Industrial Engineering program with a concentration on the procurement of goods and services, so that it can contribute to the development or implementation of the procurement of goods and services in Indonesia,” explained Tatang.

The event continued with material presentation by the General Chairperson of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Procurement Experts Association (IAPI), Ir. Sonny Sumarsono, MBA., PMP. and Head of Industrial Engineering and Management Study Program, Dr.rer.oec. Arfan Bakhtiar, S.T., M.T.
