Ahmad Ibnu Fahlan, Student of Chemical Engineering Study Program Undip, Won the Honorable Mention in KNMIPA 2021

“The National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Competition or (Kompetisi Nasional Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam / KNMIPA) is a student-level competition in the fields of chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics. This competition is organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The form of competition is individual test when participants doing questions. For the form of questions in each field, there are multiple choices, short essays, and comprehensive essays,” said Ahmad Ibnu Fahlan, a Chemical Engineering student of Diponegoro University who received an Honorable Mention for Higher Education Level at KNMIPA 2021.

“KNMIPA is my first competition when I am as a college student. Previously, in high school, I had participated in National Science Olympiad in the field of chemistry at the national level in 2019 but had not won. Now as a college student, thank God I get one of the Honorable Mention out of 65 participants who passed the national level,” he continued.

Ahmad said that the interesting thing about studying chemical engineering is how to realize chemical products so that they can be produced on a large scale and of course get profits.

This achievement is certainly not only a source of happiness for him, but also for Diponegoro University and the Department of Chemical Engineering. He hoped that all Undip students would not be afraid to compete in a big competition. The most important thing in a competition is the relations we can make from it. “Make your opponent your friend after the race is over, recognize your potential and always pray to God Almighty,” he concluded.
