The International Office of Diponegoro University (IO Undip) held the Diponegoro International Orientation (DIO DAY) 2022 to welcome Undip international students for the Academic Year of 2022/2023. The event, which was attended by Undip international students from various parts of the world, was held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 14:30 WIB online via Zoom meeting and Undip TV Youtube channel.
Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D., Head of IO Undip, welcomed the participants who attended this online meeting. Anggun stated that this meeting was the IO Undip’s initial meeting with new international students, as well as providing an understanding of their departure to Indonesia. “I welcome you all to become part of Undip’s family, best of luck for your study and our collaboration in several years ahead,” said Anggun.
The event continued with presentations delivered by two Undip IO staff, namely Abdul Rohman, S.Hum. and Winda Febiana, S. Hum. The first speaker, Abdul Rohman, S. Hum. explained the material entitled “Undip at a Glance”, which contains an overview of the Undip area and its location, Undip’s vision and mission, Undip indicators for forming COMPLETE graduates (Communicator, Professional, Leader, Thinker, Entrepreneur, Educator), as well as Undip’s national and international rankings.
Furthermore, Winda Febiana, S. Hum. explain the flow chart for student visa applications. After the telex visa is issued by the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia, IO Undip will provide documents to international students to apply for a visa at the Indonesian Embassy in their country. The requirements needed are telex visa, study permit, statement letter by Undip, passport, and a fee of 150 USD.
In addition, IO Undip also provides information on scholarships for international students, including Darmasiswa, Indonesian Language program (darmasiswa.kemdikbud.go.id), Developing Country Partnership/ KNB for Masters and Ph.D (knb.kemdikbud.go.id) , Excellent Scholarships for Masters and Ph.D., and Undip’s Master Scholarship (io.undip.ac.id).
