UNDIP Together with WIKA Held Public Lecture Entitled WIKA Goes to Campus

Diponegoro University (Undip) together with PT Wijaya Karya Persero Tbk. (WIKA) held a Public Lecture “WIKA Goes to Campus – Awaken The Giant Within” on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Prof. Sudarto S.H Building, Undip Tembalang campus.

This activity was attended by the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, the Deputy Academic Director, the Deputy Director for Student and Alumni Affairs, as well as students participating in the WIKA Goes to Campus Public Lecture. In addition, the Director of Human Capital and Development of PT Wijaya Karya Persero Tbk, Hadjar Seti Adji was also present as the main speaker.

The event was officially opened by Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. Starting his speech, Prof. Faisal revealed that the WIKA Goes to Campus program was very useful for increasing knowledge and insight, especially regarding Human Capital for Undip students and academics. “This program is very useful because the resource person who will speak later is the Director of Human Capital and Development. Currently Human Capital is something that is very important in an organization. So without Human Capital, the organization cannot run well,” he said.

Furthermore, Prof. Faisal hopes that this activity can continue, so that students get added value from the program. “Skill in how we do Human Capital management is of course an added value. We hope that this activity will continue because it is very relevant to developments in the world of work,” explained Prof. Faisal.

Entering the core of the WIKA Goes to Campus event, material entitled “Awaken the Giant Within” was presented by resource person Hadjar Seti Adji. The presentation of the material is accompanied with the screening of short film clips about strategies for pursuing dreams so that it is easy to understand and a lot of motivation is obtained. “It’s not the plane, it’s the pilot. This is not about the university but about the students themselves,” explained the Alumni of Civil Engineering FT Undip class of 1985.

The WIKA Goes to Campus program was held in commemoration of WIKA’s 63rd anniversary and took place at 7 (seven) universities in Indonesia, one of which was Diponegoro University. (Dhany/Rafi/Josua – Public Relations)
