Faculty of Psychology UNDIP Invited Australian Leadership Expert, Prof. Sen Sendjaya, to Share Knowledge

SEMARANG – Faculty of Psychology of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) invited a leadership expert from Australia, Prof. Sen Sendjaya, Ph.D. to share his knowledge at the event entitled “Academic Career Strategies: Evidence-Based Practices & Personal Experiences Webinar”. In addition to Prof. Sendjaya, the Dean of Faculty of Psychology Undip, Prof. Dian Ratna Sawitri, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D will also be a speaker at the event which will be held on Friday, October 8th 2021.

Prof. Sen Sendjaya is invited because his competence and reputation in leadership training is quite famous. He is a Professor of Leadership at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia who has not only produced many leadership books, but is also involved in training top leaders in companies, government, universities, schools, and churches. Sen Sendjaya’s activities are not only carried out in Australia, but also carried out in the United States, China, and even Indonesia.

The Dean of Faculty of Psychology Undip , Prof. Dian Ratna Sawitri, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D, said that the webinar with Prof. Sen Sendjaya as resource person was part of the Leadership and Career Development Webinar Series which was an activity held by Faculty of Psychology, University of Diponegoro with the Center for Career and Capacity Development Studies ( CAREERS). The activity was carried out in the framework of The 2nd Visiting World Class Professor Program, World Class University (WCU) UNDIP 2021.

“In the field of leadership, Prof. Sen Sendjaya is interesting to follow. The quality of his teaching has won many awards. The last and last one is the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management Best Educator Award 2017,” said Prof. Dian R Sawitri, when contacted on Tuesday (28/9/2021).

According to Prof. Sawitri, in addition to increase the knowledge of the academic community, this program is also intended to support the implementation of SDGs number 4 (Quality Education) and 17 (Partnership for the Goals). She stated that the general public could also participate in the event, which would be moderated by the Deputy Dean of Psychology Undip, Dr. Novi Qonitatin, S.Psi., M.A.

It should be noted that the Faculty of Psychology Undip has an institution named Center for Career and Capacity Development Studies (CAREERS) Research Center. The existence of CAREERS is intended as a study center to conduct quality research in the field of careers and to develop individual capacities. This institution aims to improve the nation’s competitiveness and sustainable quality of life for the community.

CAREERS has conducted many research activities and webinars by presenting a number of experts who are competent in their fields. Several leading researchers continue to be developed. Undip community members are encouraged to produce quality and useful scientific publications for the nation. “We hope that CAREERS can become a forum for producing excellent researchers,” said Prof. Sawitri.
