Undip Alumni Scholarship Foundation and BNI Undip Branch Donates Rice ATM

In the event of paying attention to Covid-19, Diponegoro University cooperated with IKA Undip, the Alumni Scholarship Foundation and PT. BNI Persero Undip Branch, have provided rice assistance with a rice ATM facility for students affected by Covid-19. The handover ceremony and the inauguration of the use of rice ATM for Covid-19 affected students on Tuesday (12/5) took place at the Student Center Building in Undip Tembalang campus.Ir. Yoedhyono, the Head of the Undip Alumni Scholarship Foundation said that this assistance was intended for as much as 200 students affected by the Covid-19 pandemic who had been appointed by the Alumni Foundation. “The easy mechanism is just by sticking a card at a rice ATM, students immediately get 2 kg of rice. With the help of rice in the form of an ATM, it will be very helpful to support the needs of students’ lives ” said Yudi. It also fulfills the Government’s recommendations for physical distancing by avoiding crowds.

BNI Undip Branch Manager, Yuli, said that as part of BNI and Undip Alumni, Yuli expressed his pride and gratitude. This machine was a new thing and an extraordinary breakthrough for students. Hopefully what is intended for good can be useful for students, ” he said. Yuli also advised students to take good care of the rice ATM machine.

Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Budi Setiyono expressed his gratitude to BNI and the Undip Alumni Scholarship Foundation. The Alumni Scholarship Foundation has helped a lot in overcoming the difficulties of economically disadvantaged students. The rice ATM was part of the relief effort during the pandemic and helped in reducing the economic problems for students.

Prof. Budi hoped that students could utilize the rice machine as well as taking a good care of them. To continue the assistance, donations were opened for rice ATMs through BNI account number 7624062016 under the name Alumni Scholarship Foundation.
