Undip Independent Exam admission path received a fairly large allocation, namely 50% of the total students accepted in academic year of 2021/2022 or the equivalent of 5,089 students.

The large quota for Independent Exam path certainly provides greater opportunities for prospective students to be accepted at state universities located in Tembalang area of Semarang City. UNDIP Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Budi Setiyono, Ph.D, said that the selection of new students was based on the UNDIP Rector’s Decree Number 26/UN7.P/PH/2021, regarding the determination of capacity for new undergraduate students of Undip in 2021/2022.

As an institution with the status of a Legal Entity State University, Undip takes a policy by allocating 50% of the total students it received through Independent Exam path. Meanwhile, half of the other students are selected through National Entrance Selection for State Universities (Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri / SNMPTN), which is 20% and Joint Entrance Selection of State Universities (Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri / SBMPTN) by 30% of total quota. The basis for this policy is Article 6 of Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2020.

Undip which has 11 faculties, in academic year of 2021/2022 is receiving 10,190 new undergraduate students. Undip Vice Rector I, Budi Setiyono, on Thursday (15/4/2021), emphasized that Undip new students admission system through Independent Examination path does not use Computer-Based Exam (Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer / UTBK) scores as the basis for acceptance. However, it combines online exam scores with a portfolio of prospective students. The online exam will be held for 10 days, from June 21st – July 3rd 2021, where each session will be held three times.
