HMPS Public Administration UNDIP Rembang Held 2022 National Publication Webinar

“The current reform is aimed at improving the quality of public services and also supervision. The idea of reform produces new ideas to be adopted and institutions are formed with adaptive policies,” said Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, MTP, as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Political Science of Diponegoro University in his remarks at the Publication Webinar event organized by the HMPS Public Administration UNDIP Rembang, Wednesday (9/11) via Zoom Meeting.

The Publication activity is an activity organized by the HMPS Public Administration UNDIP Rembang with the theme “The Contribution of College Students As Agents of Change In The Transition Period”. The National Webinar at the 2022 Publication aims to provide education and an overview regarding student contributions to the evaluation of digital economic transformation policies during transitional times and the application of values. The event is a means to prepare students who are ready to become agents of change. It is a forum for students to convey critical and innovative ideas as well as aspirations of the younger generation.

Present as the keynote speaker, Prof. Agus Pramusinto (Chairman of the State Civil Apparatus Commission / Chairman of the Indonesian Association for Public Administration / Professor of the Department of Management and Public Policy UGM) delivered material on the Development of the ASN Merit System Based on Moral Core Values.

“Wherever we work, we are faced with the same principles, namely working professionally, serving well, respecting citizens, and maintaining integrity,” said Prof. Agus.

Furthermore, Prof. Agus explained that meritocracy is a government managed by people who are selected based on their abilities or skills (a combination of qualifications, competence and performance). This is different from a government based on a spoil system or political patronage. They were appointed because of the similarity of political affiliation, friendship or ethnic similarity and others.
