UNDIP Rector Officially Inaugurated New Dean and UNDIP Officials

Rector of Diponegoro University (Undip) Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., officially inaugurated the officials within Undip at the Official Inauguration Ceremony on Thursday, January 15, 2024, at 10.00 WIB at the Prof. Sudarto S.H. Building, Undip Tembalang Campus. This activity was also attended by the Chair of the Academic Senate, Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees, Vice Rectors, Dean of Faculties/Schools, guests, and appointed Undip officials.

The inauguration was based on the Decree (SK) of the Rector of Diponegoro University Number: 32/UN7.A/KP/I/2024 to Number: 81/UN7.A/KP/I/2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Vice Rectors, Deans, Heads of Institutions, Heads of Departments, Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, and Supervisors within Diponegoro University.

A total of 50 (fifty) Undip officials who were appointed will occupy several positions. Among them are Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., who was appointed as Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum. reappointed as Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp. B.Subsp.-on (K). appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T. appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business; Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences; Dr. Budiyono, S.KM, M.Kes. reappointed as Dean of the Faculty of Public Health; Prof. Sugiharto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D. appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences; Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S., M. Hum. appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Suherman, S.T., M.T. was appointed Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service.

The Rector also inaugurated new officials who occupy the positions of Chair of Department, Chair of Study Program, Study Program Secretary, Chair of Section, and Subdivision Supervisor within Diponegoro University.

The oath of office is taken by the Undip Rector, accompanied by clergy according to the beliefs of each official. Next, the signing of the Employee Oath Minutes by the Undip Rector and Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T. and Prof. Ir. Edy Rianto, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU. as witnesses.

In his speech, Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. thanked the previous officials who had just handed over their positions. Prof. Yos also invited newly appointed officials to remember the contents of the oath they had taken. “In the oath that was taken, there was the words ‘improving welfare.’ That’s what we really have to remember because, on each of our shoulders, there is a burden that must be maintained,” he said.

Prof. Yos also advised every official within Undip to continue to be serious about their work and love Undip residents. “Be serious and, above all, love your residents. There should be no bullying. I love the people at Undip. If we manage it as well as possible, every person we protect is the same as protecting humanity,” explained Prof. Yos.

Prof. Yos also gave a mandate to the inaugurated deans to improve the achievements achieved by the previous Dean. “To the new Deans who were appointed, we hope that we will be able to improve the achievements and accomplishments that previous officials have carried out. The results of the previous work are great, and we are trying to make it even greater,” he said.

Closing his remarks, the Undip Rector hoped that the new positions he was entrusted with would run smoothly and become a field of worship and blessings for the families of the appointed officials. There was also a handover of the position of Chair of the Dharma Wanita Association of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and the Faculty of Public Health.
