Central Java Governor Appreciated Faculty of Medicine Undip for Serving Covid-19 Patients through Telemedicine Consultation

Telemedicine Consultation is a collaboration between Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University and Diponegoro National Hospital. Today’s technology is increasingly sophisticated and the Covid-19 pandemic suddenly changes all sectors of life, so it requires adjustments, one of which is in online health consultation services. This was conveyed by Dean of Faculty of Medicine Undip, Prof. dr. Dwi Pudjonarko, at the Inauguration of Telemedicine Services, online via Zoom Meeting application (1/9).

This event is also a series of activities in the framework of 60th Anniversary of Faculty of Medicine Undip. Head of Anniversary Committee, dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, said that this telemedicine service is a real manifestation of Undip in responding to the difficulties of Covid-19 patients, especially patients who undergo self-isolation to consult about their health.

The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pronowo, also appreciated Faculty of Medicine Undip for its Telemedicine Consultation Services for Covid-19 patients who underwent self-isolation. According to him, Undip has helped a lot and made improvisations in handling Covid-19 pandemic.

“People’s awareness is good about health, the first action has been taken by them, such as checking symptoms through technology, it is good action,” he said.

Ganjar gave a message to not argue anymore about the existence of this virus. It has nothing to do with a conspiracy, while many victims have died due to Covid-19. What must be done is to be health and continue to follow health protocols.

“For those who are in isolation, hopefully they will recover and the hospital will continue to remind them that if conditions improve, do not be euphoric, but always maintain strict health protocols,” he concluded.

This telemedicine service can be accessed through WhatsApp number of 088214391014 which serves consultations from 08.00 AM to 05.00 PM. (Linda – Public Relations)
